The Mystical Knot is one of the eight auspicious signs that symbolize the Eight Fold paths of Buddhism. The Knot is also known as the ‘Mystic Dragon’ and is a symbol of Eternity and Unity.
The Tibetans first identified the sacred geometry contained within this Knot. It is said to be a symbol of unending love, interconnectedness of all beings and good fortune. Those wearing or displaying this powerful mystic knot symbol will enjoy good fortune.
As you can see the Knot has no beginning and no ending; this is meant to symbolize the infinite wisdom of Buddha. This Endless Knot is also said to be the perfect insignia for undying and unconditional love. It is a lucky symbol ensuring that the love in the marriage or relationship will last. It symbolizes endless-togetherness. Many feel that the symbol exhibits the link or weave between Wisdom and Compassion. It is also said to signify the interplay of the opposing forces in the dualistic world of manifestation, leading to their unification and to the harmony in the universe.
Sweet! Now we know why you always wearing this symbol on your neck
Oh that’s what it is…I was thinking that it was a symbol more like a labyrinth or a maze, that symbolizes the endless possibility to find one’s self. Or something like everything is interlinked, no matter how lost you are in life there is always a possibility to find yourself. Undying love, didn’t think of that one very interesting.. I need to get one myself. By the way you do know that my birthday is coming up so now you have an idea of a perfect present
Good one Mai! I should have done the same….but mine’s already passed snif :’(
This reminds me a little of Salomon’s knot. They have some similarities. It’s design is ancient, and appears all over the architecture of the ancient world, and further back, in stone-age carvings. The design is frequently used in the designs of ancient synagogues, and I think that’s how the symbol got associated with King Solomon. It’s the symbol of eternal motion and the intertwining of space and time.
Mya how do you KNOW all this??!
I read more than you think…
Im actually really interested with all these things
I have seen this symbol before as a tattoe. So I just took it as a random abstract symbol and actually copied it as a henna tattoe on my ankle! Guess I shouldn’t have done that!! :-S
It’s a good way to have good fortune all the time ^^
